Layout Ideas

Just as I wasn't clear in my first post, Project Martindale is named after the first Chief Commissioner of railways in NSW. I like the name, so I'm actually going to use it as the permanent name of my layout.

I've played around with some ideas for a layout, and at this stage I've settled on a fairly easy to build and use 4 x 8 layout. It's based off of a layout featured on the Layout Vision website. I was really listening to what is written on that website with regarding to not using the old "sacred sheet" design, but it will work best for me at this stage. I'm also obviously gearing this toward the potential to expand in the future, and if I was to go ahead and expand, I'd be pruning back future modules to probably be 2 x 4, which I think is more than possible with the current idea.

Also note, it's not currently finished - the tracks coming off the turntable haven't been added in yet.
